Zak Walters, Chef/Co-Owner of Sedalia’s is a native Oklahoman who inherited his love for cooking from his maternal grandmother. After many years of making a life in California, he had the good fortune to open his very special Salt’s Cure, a quaint and fun restaurant that focused on a whole animal-butchery, & simple, rustic California-Style cooking. Zak moved back to Oklahoma City to be be closer to family, raise his own family & continue to do what he loves by opening up a small oyster & seafood restaurant to celebrate all things unexpected, joyful & unique; bringing all experience & aspects of his journey as a chef to Sedalia’s, he continues to be inspired by his mentors, peers, community & family to keep pushing the boundaries of expectations as a Chef.
